Hi, it's Mo
I know a lot of people have been asking SJ about me and my cousin Petra and how we’re doing here in our new home. SJ’s really busy finishing her new book and trying to bring down the government so she doesn’t have time to write to you about us, but she said I could.
First you need pictures.

Top left: Petra drinking from the bowl that SJ keeps by the window for the plants. Sure we have a water bowl by our food dishes, but this isn’t ours so it tastes much better. I drink there too, and SJ says so did Bella and the late great Fugazy.
Top right: Me trying to find the tuna fish can from SJ’s lunch. I didn’t; something to do with it already being in the recycling.
Bottom left: Me trying to find Petra. SJ left the bed neatly made but Petra crawled under the quilt and pulled it in after herself. I knew she’d gone up onto the bed platform but when I got up there she wasn’t there and I couldn’t figure it out. SJ had to tell me.
Bottom right: the reason we had to be adopted together.
We’re very happy here at SJ’s. We have toys and soft places to sleep and Petra is starting to make biscuits in SJ’s lap, though she does it standing up. She’s not ready to curl up there yet. I’m not a lap kind of cat but I glue myself to SJ’s side when she’s on the couch, especially when she’s watching the Knicks.
The only complaint I have is, Petra and I were both kind of chonky when we came here, because we’re really cute (I’m sorry, I’m under oath) and the techs at the vet where we were living felt bad that we had to be in a cage during the day (we had the run of the place at night) so they all snuck us extra treats. All of them! So yeah, we chonked up. But now I’m back to fighting weight. Petra still has a pound or so to go, though, and SJ says no treats and strict diet until she loses that pound. Okay, SJ does give me a little extra food when it’s dinner time. But really, no treats? I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect me to wait on treats until Petra loses weight. In case SJ doesn’t give in on this one, though, I’ve been chasing Petra around to burn those calories. So excuse me, I’ve got to go do zoomies with her now.
Talk to you later —
— Mo

Hey Mo! Maybe you could do a collaboration with SJ. You could write a kitty into the next Lydia and Bill story. You are a talented writer! (If not for jokes, we’d all be crying.)
WOW Mo, so happy to meet you and Petra! It looks like you both have settled right into SJ's home! She is very lucky to have you both!!! Tell her to keep your pictures coming!
