Breakfast looks delectable. Cubans, by and large (my daughter has been there, I have not, but she has made friends, of course) are a warm and wonderful people. What they deal with on a day to day basis is unheard of in my privileged suburban life. And yet they remain cheerful for the most part, with great music, food and drink. Resilient as all get out! Glad you and the equipment won't be stranded. Enjoy the Internet free periods. And happy research. Your readers thank you for your gallivanting around in the name of plot and setting.
I love Cuba and no one is reporting the hardships the US is putting on them. I am a bit jealous of you being there and writing about it…and going to read all of these posts with keen interest. My cousin used to own an apartment in Havana…I’ll never forgive him for selling it without telling me. Haha. Looking forward to your reporting.
Oh that is why you are there. Monty and his cousins must be so concerned about how geopolitics managed by a deranged leader is affecting their country. Excited to hear more about your TWO new plots.
I would love to go to Cuba. My niece went there on her honeymoon. They went back through Canada and still customs confiscated everything they brought back. That was 12 years ago. I only speak Sesame Street Spanish, which is another problem. I await your photos patiently.
Go wherever you can in the time available, because you never know what you might see and what you might learn.

Brava, SJ. I worry so much for these Islanders, the blackouts, no fertilizer and food stress. Do give us a report on what you see about these issues.
We're reading your reports aloud to each other, looking forward to more. May all go well. Thrilled to hear Olimpia is your research enthusiast.
Thanks for update and pics!
Good luck getting around! Can't wait to hear about it.

Thanks for posting this. I've never been to Cuba, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

You're my role model.
You're in trouble.
Yep, good trouble
